Reach Farther

Here is a logo I designed for my churches outreach program, Reach Farther. They wanted it to have the feeling of an old map. Below you can see the logo being used on a Brochure thats actually a fold out map of the world. (brochure designed by Evan Vetter).

Curiously Irresistible

Ok... so this is a few years old but I love the way it turned out. I have had this ready to post for a while but have not posted it yet.
While attending SCAD I took a Business of Graphic Design class. In this class we had to split up in groups and create our own design team. I was the Creative Director over my group. in my group with me was Terrell Summers and Jessica Sciulli. The last project in the class was to create an advertising campaign for a cereal called Curiously Cinnamon. Our idea was to have little animals that found the box so irresistible that they swollowed the box whole. above this drawing would be a funny warning label. Let me know what you think.
All the drawings were done by Brett Brooks

Hostteam Hoodies

Just in time for winter... They came in a few weeks ago.

In October I got an E-mail about a request to design hoodies for my church. I love creating shirt designs so I had a blast designing this hoodie for them. The Host Team is a group of people that serve the church by making sure everyone feels welcome. Their jobs include greeting, ushering, guest services, serving in the café, bookstore, & parking lot. They have a lot to do with first impressions.

When I showed them this design they loved it. Take a look and let me know what you think.

Mamie Tattoo

A few Months ago I got an E-mail from Sarah Bussey asking me for a special request. She wanted me to design a tattoo for her to go on her wrist. I have designed tattoos before for friends and even my wife, but I had never been asked by a client. I loved that I got a chance to and it's always fun working on different kinds of projects.

When I found out what it was for I was honored that she would ask me. 6 months ago Sarah lost her baby and had to have a still birth. They blogged the entire process of the pregnancy from the very beginning. I went back and started reading a few of the blog entries to get some inspiration for the design. Sarah told me, "...we called her Poppy Seed before we found out at 15 weeks that she was a girl and then we named her Mamie."

She knew that she wanted to have Mamie's name in the design along with a reference to poppy seeds She also wanted it to be very feminine. I designed it so that at the bottom of the tattoo was a little poppy seed and it swirled into the name.

you can read more about it on Sarah Bussey's blog along with a few more pictures.
